New York, New York
2019
The project is a partial renovation of a duplex penthouse in the Upper West Side. The owner's needs changed in ten years which required revisiting some of the areas including the Entry, Dining/Living and Children Rooms. The two existing entries were reversed to respond to the way the owners actually use the apartment. The entry which is closest to the elevator was developed as the main Entry transforming the Guest Room into an extended Foyer. A new glass table was placed in the Dining Room giving the room a sense of openness. A new flat screen TV was mounted on the wall of the Living Room freeing up space for a desk area. New built-in cabinetry was incorporated throughout. The children's area was renovated for the first time. The paint colors were changed to a more neutral and peaceful palette.
