Nestled on a scenic site in the heart of the Catskills, the existing house enjoys serene amenities, including a swimming pool and a pond. CU—A’s design introduces an addition that serves as a private master suite for the parents, while the children’s bedrooms and entertainment areas remain in the original home. The two structures are linked by a luminous greenhouse for orchids, creating a gentle transition between old and new. This connector not only frames views of the surrounding landscape but also invites natural light and seasonal change into the daily experience of the home, weaving architecture, nature, and family life into a seamless whole.
